Floriday Daytrade is a new way of day trading which combines the benefits of clock auction logistics with the flexibility of direct trading. Growers can market their stock earlier, deliver more substantial quantities to the hubs and let Royal
FloraHolland take care of logistics.
This means new options for you as a buyer, because the stock goes on sale earlier in the day and there is a choice of several delivery slots. In this article:
Floriday Daytrade is currently only possible at the Royal FloraHolland hub in Rijnsburg and Naaldwijk. We are gradually expanding the number of growers, giving us ever more supply.
Where can I find Floriday Daytrade?
Floriday Daytrade can be found in Explorer under Clock pre-sales. Growers can market their supply earlier than the clock presale supply. Meaning this is even available before noon.
For now, we have launched Floriday Daytrade at the Rijnsburg and Naaldwijk location (rollout to other hubs will follow soon). It is easy to filter on this in the left-hand filter column.
Growers put their supply for Rijnsburg up for sale while it is still at their nursery. As a buyer, you can then actually order from this stock. You can recognise the Daytrade stock by the Daytrade chip next to the auction location. You will see the expected auction date alongside. Growers also have the option to set this auction date further into the future.
By pushing back the auction date, the grower can offer several delivery slots to the buyer. If the auction date is later than the next day, this is shown next to the shopping cart with a clock and it says Later Auction Date.
If the auction date is the next day, you can enter the quantity directly in the list view and click Enter to order.
If you want the stock to be delivered earlier, you can indicate this by clicking on the purple shopping cart. The order window opens. At the top, you have options for Auction date or Preferred Time Slot.
When you first open the order dialog of a Daytrade article, the screen below will appear. Here you can indicate your preference for delivery of these articles. You can also find this setting via Settings > System.
The Auction date is selected by default. This means the order is processed as part of the normal auction process. Here, it is important to note the auction date for the item, because that will be the day you receive the supply.
You can choose the Preferred Time Slot yourself, based on the delivery time when
the grower has indicated that the stock will be delivered to the relevant Royal FloraHolland hub.
