Explorer - Purchasing directly

The new Explorer search feature in Floriday enables you to browse your growers' current and future supply lines. On the one hand you can choose to manage your assortment by creating a selection of products from the growers' catalog. This way you can easily find specific products that you're interested in, even if there are no active supply lines.

On the other hand you can start purchasing directly from availably supply lines. On this page we will elaborate on the feature of purchasing directly in the Explorer.

You can visit the explorer by using the shortcut on your Dashboard, or by opening the Explorer via the side bar on the left hand side. At the top left of the Explorer you will find three buttons, which allows you to search for House and garden plants, Cut flowers & Hardware. With the other filters, such as trade item names, Pot size and price ranges you can narrow down your search to find the exact products you're looking for.

Below is a step by step guide on how to start purchasing in the Explorer

Take a pick between House and garden plants, Cut flowers or Hardware. You can either search for supply of all suppliers, or choose a specific grower. In our example we're looking for supply of all suppliers. When using Direct purchasing, a grey bar appears in which you can set your Delivery location and Delivery day.

If you're looking for something specific, make sure to apply the corresponding filters below. If you're "just browsing", hit Search to view all the available supply lines.

Floriday will now show you an overview of the supply lines that match your filters. The supply lines are automatically sorted by creation date - newly added supply lines will be shown on top. Different sorting methods can be chosen from the drop down menu in the top right corner.

On the left hand side is a column with all the available filter options. Feel free to edit your filter selection, for instance by adding trade item characteristics, color, transport height etc.

When you hover your mouse over the grower, the delivery words are displayed.

If the Packing configuration is gray, this means that there is only one packing configuration available. If the box is white, there are 2 or more packing configurations to choose from.

You can easily recognise an offer by its indication. When you hover your mouse over it, you will see more information and clicking on it will take you to the offer.

When using the other feature of the Explorer - Manage your assortment - you can create a selection of products. This is also an option while purchasing directly; simply check the box next to a product and click Add to selected assortment.

To view your selected assortment while purchasing directly, simply click on the star button in the top left corner.

If there's a product or grower you wish to see more supply of, simply click the right mouse button on a supply line and select Set filter for this... This allows you to filter on similar supply lines by grower, VBN product or VBN product group.

Example: You've searched for pink Hydrangea's and found a grower that has exactly what you're looking for. By clicking the right mouse button on the supply line and choosing Set filter for this... grower, a new page will open with all the active supply lines this grower is currently offering.

When you're ready to place your order, simply enter the amount of packages and press the shopping cart button (or hit enter!). The order will have been placed directly with the grower.

If you wish to add more information to the order, such as a customer reference, an end customer reference or additional services, click on the downward arrow next to the shopping cart. This opens a menu where you can add additional information.

After placing an order, you'll have 5 minutes to change your mind. At the bottom of your screen you'll find a notification bar with the delivery moment, the delivery location and the total amount of orders placed.

Click on the amount of orders (the button on the right) to view all your orders. In this menu you will also be able to see a button you can use to cancel the order. Right next to this button is the remaining time in which you can cancel the order.

Visit the Purchase orders for an overview of all the orders you've placed, including cancelled orders. Use the three dots on the right hand side to request a correction, or use the search filters to view purchase orders with specific growers or trade instruments.

You can also view the Corrections & Order progress at the top.

At the Explorer page you can also explore the different Novelties that growers have added on Floriday. These are products that are tested and approved by Royal FloraHolland as certified novelty products.

Use the filter options on this page to select a specific period and/or product name. You can also add the novelty to your assortment by clicking on the star in the product's box.

In Floriday, growers can add 360° product photos to their trade items. By clicking on the 360° product photos banner, an overview of all the trade items that can be digitally rotated will be shown!

Looking for products from a specific product group? Scroll down to the bottom of the Explorer main page to find all the different product groups. Click on a product group to automatically view all the supply lines in that product group.
